The Vrije Universiteit Brussel invites you to the theatre performance Ode to Wonder, inspired by the book by the late VUB rector Caroline Pauwels.
Caroline Pauwels became rector of the VUB in 2016 and started her second term in 2022, when she sadly passed away from cancer. In 2021, she wrote Ode to Wonder as part of her role as curator of Theater Aan Zee. In the book, she encourages us to keep looking at the world with open eyes and a curious mind – with a childlike sense of wonder for science, art, and the everyday.
The performance brings that message to life: a heartfelt plea for optimism, connection and beauty – especially in difficult times.
The play will be in Ducth, with subtitles in French and English.
