In the impressive setting of the iconic halls, Jan Danckaert will make a plea for science as a public good in his first academic opening speech as rector of the VUB.
Several social associations from the neighbourhood are involved in organising the opening. During the session, we pay tribute to our late honorary rectors Paul De Knop and Caroline Pauwels.
The ceremony is traditionally followed by a convivial reception.
Please find below the programme for the academic opening, which starts at 15:00 sharp. Do not miss it, for it will be an animated multimedia event!

Take exit 13, Dilbeek-Ninove-Molenbeek.

With the car, coming from the inner ringroad of Brussels
At the gare du Midi take the direction of "place Bara" and continue along the avenue Clémenceau. At the crossroads with the chaussée de Mons you carry straight on and follow the rue Ropsy Chaudron.
