VUB is taking another step towards greater inclusion and student wellbeing. From today, students can access free menstrual products from new dispensers on the Health Campus in Jette and the Main Campus in Etterbeek. The initiative is made possible thanks to the Caroline Pauwels Relief Fund.
Menstrual products should never be a barrier. Yet for many students, they still are. With this initiative, VUB aims to further break the taboo around period poverty and make access to menstrual products easier. The dispensers are there for anyone who needs them — whether for financial reasons or simply because you have forgotten to bring your own.
Where can you find them?
On the Etterbeek campus, the dispenser is located at the Student Information desk in Building D. On the Jette campus, students can find it at the entrance of the Medical Library in Building A. The dispensers offer free tampons, panty liners and sanitary pads.

Caroline Pauwels Relief Fund
The installation of the dispensers was made possible by the Caroline Pauwels Relief Fund. The fund supports students who face financial, material, social or psychological difficulties and works to promote equal access to education. Free access to essential products, such as menstrual products, fits squarely within that mission.
