South-Korea, Iran, Northern Italy:
- Outgoing mobility to South-Korea, Iran, Northern Italy (Aosta Valley, Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy, Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol) is put on hold for students and personnel until further notice.
- Students on exchange and personnel on mission/training at these locations can stay abroad. Academic activities are suspended for 1 week in Northern Italy.
- Local regulation needs to be followed.
- There is currently no mandatory return. This situation can change in the coming period.
- VUB students who return on their own initiative, returning personnel, incoming students & staff need to monitor their health and when starting to feel feverish, consult a doctor.
- Incoming mobility of exchange students/interns and staff is preferably postponed till a later date.
General:
- Returning students need to contact the exchange coordinator to end the exchange period and discuss next steps.
- The International Relations office (IRMO) will check with EPOS for the scholarships

IRMO and M&O have limited info on students/staff abroad, resp. only scholarship grantees and staff who registered in the academic leave tool. If you know of students/personnel currently being in one of these countries, please inform international.relations@vub.be.
There are 8 exchange students in Italy and some thesis students in South Korea (Ghent Global Campus).
