Become a pioneer in Esports Management!

The VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and the Faculty of Physical Education & Physiotherapy - Department of Movement and Sports Sciences are committed to a 12 days  of seminars regarding various business perspectives within the Esports industry. By doing so the VUB positions itself as the very first university of the Low Countries with a post-academic degree in the dynamic industry of Esports.

Why Esports Management?

Gaming and Esports, as of today, is more than just people playing games with friends and family. It is a billion-dollar business where opportunities are still up for grabs! Esports, the competitive edge of gaming, is way more clearly and all the more present. Therefore, it is long overdue that an academic network was set up. Hereby, knowledge, know-how can be provided, and firsthand professional insight can get shared by those who are passionate about Esports.  

Course goals and learning objectives

Here at the VUB, we embrace Esports. Therefore, we want to cater a course that primarily draws attention from the commercial and economic background of the Esports industry. The Expert Class will grant every participant the network, knowledge, know-how and insight that is required for a flourishing career in this rapidly growing industry.

Furthermore, the course will touch upon several topics and aspects, ranging from the history of Esports to organizing events and from marketing to social aspects and many more.


Starting from January till June 2023, every 2 weeks on Thursdays, you will breathe Esports in every shape of form. More specifically, The Expert Class will kick off the 19th of January 2023.

The average course day will start at 14h end at 21h (this way you will be able to get in an out Brussels without any problems).  In between, the necessary breaks will be taken and a group and networking lunch will be organized between 18 and 19h.
