Good Food Canteen label
The student restaurant on VUB Main Campus in Etterbeek has already been awarded the Good Food Canteen label twice, a label awarded by the Brussels government to large-scale kitchens that have chosen the path of healthy, sustainable food. In short, the Good Food label means that the restaurant strives to serve its customers tasty, varied, and healthy food produced locally with consideration of the environment, animal welfare, and good working conditions.

With the know-how of our student restaurants, we are working to win over all campus users and partners to the concept of sustainable food. The focus is on:
- healthy and ecologically responsible meals,
- plant-based, local, and seasonal food,
- avoiding surpluses and food waste,
- affordable prices and fair wages for the producer,
- zero waste, or a waste-free approach.
