Become a leader of the future with Campusmun!
Are you a VUB graduate interested in politics and the United Nations? Do you dream of a career in the diplomatic world? Would you like to gain more insight into the crisis in Ukraine and what is really going on there? Then CAMPUSMUN is for you!
Every year VUBMUN, a diplomatic association at the VUB, organises CAMPUSMUN. A MUN is a simulation of the United Nations, in which you, together with other VUB students, actively search for resolutions around a certain social theme. You are assigned a country, whose position you represent.
This year CAMPUSMUN takes place on May 19 at the campus in Etterbeek. The theme is the crisis in Ukraine. The ultimate goal of the simulation is that you represent your country in the best way and come up with the other countries (represented by other students) with creative policy ideas to tackle the crisis. The language of communication is usually English.
After your registration for CAMPUSMUN, you will receive a manual on participation in a MUN and on the theme of the Ukraine crisis and be assigned your country. In the preparatory period, you may also ask questions to the organisation. The project challenges you because as a committed VUB student, you will take the reins on 19 May. So you can help shape the simulation! You will do this by making speeches, writing texts, negotiating, researching, and debating. In this way, you will create creative solutions for your assigned country's theme of the Ukraine crisis. In this way, you will get a deep insight into the theme.
