Mindblowers

Are you a VUB graduate who is passionate about science and/or art? Would you like to participate in an event with people with the same mindset, in front of a live audience? Then the Mindblowers project is for you!

As a scientist or artist you are one of the visionaries of society, you are the voice of society. To give this voice and heart a stage, the Royal Flemish Theatre (KVS) and the VUB created the Mindblowers project. Mindblowers gives you as a scientist the opportunity to present your research to a new audience, as a student you acquire new skills and as an artist you are stimulated to analyze the creative process around the theme of the evening. As a member of the Mindblowers community you also help to blur the boundaries between science and art and make an important contribution in terms of involvement and connection within society.

The main theme of the 2022-2023 academic year edition is Amor. Together with other artists, students and scientists you will deliver performances and interventions at the intersection of art, culture and reflection. For example, during last year's edition, academics and artists challenged the audience and explored the boundaries of their work. Taste, smell, hear and look...all senses were stimulated. In this way, they gave a powerful signal that tomorrow's society will not be built on the basis of their own judgements, but on the basis of dialogue and a search for connection. Have you become curious about Mindblowers? Do not hesitate and register for the 2021 edition!
