Give Brussels your personal touch in the Open Lab Symmerschool

After a year of sitting inside and daydreaming about better times, freedom is cautiously beckoning around the corner. And where better to celebrate this freedom than in our beautiful capital city! Brussels offers its inhabitants a lot of interesting projects and activities but still has a lot of spaces that are not (yet) used to their full potential. The OpenLab.brussels Summerschool is about working with those open spaces and needs your creative contribution!

Don't be fooled by the word 'summerschool'. This project doesn't mean you have to languish behind school desks for hours on end. It is an innovative urban experiment in which participants inspire each other and learn to work together to build the city of the future. You think creatively about filling Brussels' transition spaces with a view to preparing a more sustainable and inclusive city. The program is built around a wide range of activities: forum theater, VR-exercises, chantier collectif, walking, bar talks, site visits, etc.

Who can participate?

The summer school is open to diverse audiences: scholars, artists, professionals, youth, activists, policy makers, etc. The activities are organized in English, French and Dutch. Translation is provided where necessary.
