Discover Brussels’ best side in your own creative way!

Do you love Brussels? Do you love being creative, or are you looking for a way to really clear your head? Do you look at the world with an open mind? Then Fotowandelingen is for you!

Fotowandelingen is a project created by VUB student Ella Oelbrandt, supported by the Pilar blog. It gives you the opportunity to capture the most beautiful elements of our city. With fellow students or by yourself, you get to know the five corners of the inner ring road that circles the city centre. These five corners are nodes that connect the centre with the surrounding municipalities. They each have their own unique dynamic and are evolving too. The people you see there are different at different points in the day, which makes them fascinating spots.

As a VUB student, you already look at the world with an open mind and without prejudice, and this project wants to support that fully. You look further than your own campus, the surrounding areas or the city centre. You’ll walk round one of the five corners and write something about it, photograph interesting people or buildings, create video content… The possibilities are endless! Even if you don’t think you’re all that creative, the project could still use your help. Your unique viewpoint can help make our capital even more beautiful than it already is and can encourage more people to take part. So don’t wait, sign up now!
