Join the conference: The Importance of Engaging with Our International Alumni and Their ‘Hidden Power’
On the 22 May 2023, at 3:30 pm (Building I, Auditorium I.2.02), the VUB International Relations office (IRMO) is organising a conference on alumni relations and the added value of an international alumni network for our university. Everyone is welcome to join. The event will be in English.
The event aims to inspire stakeholders at our university on the importance of alumni relations and engage our current international alumni who are still in the country. There will be a presentation of some initial outcomes of research by the International Relations office with an overview of the current state of international alumni relations at VUB, providing a foundation for discussions to enable policies to be implemented to the benefit of the university and its international alumni.
The keynote speech will be on the Hidden Power of Alumni by Sandra Rincon, author of the book Engaging International Alumni as Strategic Partners.
After the speech, you will be able to ask all your questions and assist in a panel discussion with various externals to discuss the importance of alumni relations. The confirmed panelists are (others to follow):

To conclude, there will be a networking reception where you will have the opportunity to meet and create meaningful connections with experts in the field and colleagues from other departments.
