We are excited to announce that this year’s European Labour Law Young Scholars Meeting will take place at the Free University of Brussels. The conference will be held over two days: mark your calendars for 12 and 13 November 2026.

At a time when deregulation features prominently on policy agendas, its impact on fundamental rights is becoming increasingly significant. This is particularly true for vulnerable groups, whose protection has traditionally been anchored in labour and social security law frameworks. These developments call for critical reflection on both the impact of deregulation and the need to balance flexibility with adequate protection in contemporary regulatory approaches.

Early career scholars are warmly invited to participate and present their research, insights, challenges, or proposed solutions in a panel setting. In addition, there will be an opportunity to present research in the form of posters.

Further information regarding registration will be shared soon. For any questions, please contact: ELLYS2026@vub.be

We look forward to welcoming you to Brussels!
