Tuesday 17 October 2023 - UPDATE - CUTA has lowered the threat level from level 4 to level 3. Based on that decision, the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is scaling back the security measures previously taken. This means that all activities can resume on all campuses. As from Wednesday, Oct. 18, the university will thus return to a normal situation.
However, the VUB does ask its community to remain vigilant in the coming days. The increased presence of campus security remains.
Updates for students, PhD candidates and staff members are done on the internal portal WeAreVUB. For specific communication around teaching activities, professors and faculties post messages in the learning platform Canvas.
