The policy plan in a nutshell

In the policy plan, the Research Department formulates the strategic objectives for Research at VUB. Our policy aims to create societal impact through a sustainable research structure with solution-oriented administrative support. Research groups remain the backbone of this, positioning themselves internationally through upscaling and an ambitious funding strategy. VUB wants to embed its research in society and apply it to the benefit of its surroundings.

The policy plan focuses on the Policy Domains of the Vice-Rector for Research and the Research Council, with particular attention to the conditions for policy planning and reporting.

Vision statement on animal testing at VUB (Dutch only)

VUB is committed to developing alternatives to animal testing and applying the legal principles of the 3Rs to the maximum extent possible.
