Our original interdisciplinary approach gives you the chance to pursue your own interests and develop specific expertise through elective courses, a thesis on a topic of your interest, and an internship. Do you enjoy being involved? Thanks to our small groups of students we work closely and interactively and encourage individual participation, critical thinking and discussion with staff and fellow students. And perhaps you’ll publish your work online, e.g., using forums such as Facebook.

What is the difference with the Master in Communication Studies: Journalism & Media in Europe?

Compared to this Digital Media in Europe master, the Journalism and Media in Europe master is more focused on journalism and the political dimensions of media and communication. If your interest lies in technology and business models, the Digital Media in Europe programme is probably more suitable for you.

With this you can ask for a flexible approach to your studies and exams, to maximise your chances of success. You may need access to course materials, for example, or more time to sit an exam, a translator or interpreter, staggered examinations, and so on.

Do you have a disability (for example, a learning disability, chronic medical condition, psychiatric or sensory disability)? Combining your studies with a job

The Master in Communication Studies: Digital Media in Europe is a daytime-only programme. Therefore, there is no option to combine this study with a full-time job.

You can, however, spread the studies over a longer time. See tab "Spread the study load".

Studying abroad

Although there are no exchange options, there is plenty of β€˜internationalisation’ in the programme itself via the international student body.
