Physics Nobel Prize winner Brian Schmidt is one of those partygoers: "50 years is of course short, but think back to all the fantastic things you have accomplished over the past 50 years and will accomplish the next 50, or rather 500".

In 2011, Brian Schmidt won the Nobel Prize in Physics for his discovery of the accelerating expansion of the universe through observations from distant supernovae.
