AI and robots are no longer science fiction. They are already shaping healthcare, mobility, and even the way we communicate. But this raises urgent questions: how do we safeguard ethics and accountability? What role do rights and regulation play in a world driven by intelligent systems? On 17 and 18 November 2025, these debates will take centre stage at the 4th edition of the FARI Brussels Conference.
The future does not arrive with a bang, but with the friendly voice of a chatbot, a robot surgeon saving lives, or an algorithm plotting your daily route. AI and robotics are not just futuristic concepts – they are our daily reality. The pressing issue is: how do we ensure these technologies serve us rather than control us? How do we balance innovation with ethics, responsibility, and human rights?
These questions lie at the heart of the FARI Brussels Conference 2025, themed “AI, Robots & Us: Living with Intelligent Agents?”. The event brings together researchers, policymakers, business leaders, and citizens to reflect and debate on the role of AI and robotics in our societies.
Two days of ideas and debate
Expect keynotes from international experts, sharp panel discussions, and interactive sessions where participants actively contribute. Topics include healthcare, defence, mobility, and everyday applications – always with the same guiding question: how can we combine innovation with responsibility?
About FARI – AI for the Common Good
The conference is organised by FARI – AI for the Common Good Institute, a joint initiative of the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
