Come and spar
This room of +/-40 m² is equipped with tatami combat sports mats, mirrors and several punching bags. The small size of the room makes it particularly suitable for smaller groups. Four to six persons is ideal, up to ten is also fine. However, for groups of more than ten persons, it can get a little crowded and sweaty.
All combat sports for which a tatami is required can be practised here. Bare feet feel right at home in this hall. If you practice a combat sport which requires footwear, opt for footwear specifically intended for use in a combat sports hall. In the past, some users also used this sports hall for dance, pilates and yoga. For dance, mirrors are provided. The tatami can be put aside to allow the space to dance on the laminate floor.
A little trivia for combat sports clubs, federations and fanatics
VUB is currently working on the construction of a fully-fledged combat sports expertise centre. We are planning the construction of an extension to the sports complex with a good 800 m² of surface area suitable for combat sports, to be completed by 2023-2024. We will keep you informed via our website and social media!
Rent the martial arts hall (dojo)
For individual rentals by the hour, at least one of the users must have a valid sports card. You can request individual rentals a maximum of 3 times.
For user agreements a sports card is not required.

With the "last minute exception" as a rule : on the day itself VUB students can rent the remaining available facilities at Student Peak rate.
