The Vrije Universiteit Brussel and the Brussels Engineering Alumni (BREA) invite you for the symposium Technology Driven Transformation in Medicine.

The symposium presents a  number of keynotes speeches with a diverse group of academic, industry and medical experts who will share their insights on technology driven transformation in medicine with a key focus of robotics and digital twins in healthcare.

The symposium will also delve into the ethical landscape of technology in medicine with a debate themed:  Intelligent Medicine: Who Shapes the Future… and Who Holds the Scalpel? Don’t miss this debate where the future of healthcare meets its most critical questions.

Prof. dr. ir. Tom Verstraten - Federated Labs AI & Robotics (FLAIR) of the VUB Tom's keynote talk will focus on "Towards personalized healthcare: how AI and human digital twins are reshaping assistive robotics"

Dr.ir. Pierre Cherelle - Founder CEO Axiles Bionics Pierre's keynote talk will center on "Axiles Bionics - Next Generation Prosthetics Technology"

 Prof. dr. Nouredin Messaoudi – Department of Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery UZ Brussels Nouredin's presentation is entitled “Symbiosis of Mind and Machine: Robotics.

Moderator is prof. dr. Koen Poetman, dean of the faculty Medicine and Pharmacy of VUB.
