When and where do I need to be? 

You can find the day(s) we expect you on campus in your timetable. There you'll also find all other details such as the titles, times, and locations of your sessions. Want to know more about what each session covers? Just check the tab for your faculty. 

The Orientation Days take place on the Main Campus (Etterbeek) and Health Campus (Jette). On the Main Campus, you can easily navigate around with Mazemap. This easy tool will show you the way to classrooms, lecture halls and suggest the best route. On the Health Campus, you can use the campus map to find your way around. 

We encourage you to travel to campus sustainably by walking, cycling or using public transportation. If that's not an option, please register your vehicle's license plate in advance via this link. License plate recognition will give you access to the campus. Please note that access to campus does not guarantee a parking space, as parking availability is limited. 

There are no mandatory tests during the Orientation Days for students enrolled in bridging programmes, preparatory programmes, Master's programmes or English-taught programmes. 

At the VUB student restaurant, you can get a sandwich or a hot meal at student prices. You are also welcome to eat your own lunch there. 

Your academic year begins on your Orientation Day. We want every student to get off to a strong start. During your Orientation Day(s), you’ll receive crucial information and insights that are important for your studies. These will not be repeated in the following weeks. Thanks to the campus tour and the Welcome Drinks, you’ll also get the chance to get to know your professors and fellow students. 
 
We expect you to adjust your schedule and be there. Don’t miss it! 

Are you a daytime student? Make sure to bring your laptop as you’ll need it for the “Ready Set Go” session.  

Have you already received your student card? Bring that as well.
