About the chair
Within the SOMT Chair of Clinical Anatomy, VUB has been committed since 2007 to the academisation of the Dutch SOMT University of Physiotherapy. The cooperation between both institutions offers unique opportunities to further deepen education and research regarding manual therapy.
The chair is part of the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy. The faculty is setting up several new postgraduate programmes within these fields and SOMT wishes to support them both in terms of content and financially. The aim is to make these programmes top-notch, thanks to the extra support, and to become the reference point for physiotherapists, health scientists and engineers by providing the opportunity to attract top scientists into these educational programmes.
