The Student Futsal League or 3X3 Basketball League
The Student Futsal League is an indoor football competition for student teams from VUB, EhB, KU Leuven (Brussels campus), LUCA and Odisee, which is organised every semester. Teams can register at the VUB Main Campus in Etterbeek or at the VUB Health Campus in Jette. Registration for the competition must be completed by the end of the second week of October.
In Etterbeek, matches are played on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM. In Jette, match days are on Tuesdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM (with a weekly training session as part of Sportmix on Thursdays from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM).
Attention: To participate in the Futsal League, you must have a valid sports card with a punch/sticker for the current academic year.
We also organize a Futsal League for VUB and EHB staff members. Registration is possible by sending an email before mid-October to sport@vub.be, including your team name, and the team captain’s phone number and email address.
In addition, we also organize the 3x3 Basketball League. This league takes place in the second semester, starting in March, every Thursday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in sports hall L5. The first few weeks focus on training and getting to know other players, after which the competitions will begin. Are you a basketball fan and a student at VUB, EhB, KU Leuven (Brussels campus), LUCA or Odisee? Form a team of 3 to 5 players and register before the end of February to take part in the competition. The VUB Staff Futsal League
The VUB Staff Futsal League is for teams made up of VUB staff. It takes place on the VUB Main Campus in Etterbeek each semester.
