In autumn 2021, VUB's Green Team built this large Bûûmpark. 40 trees were planted and 31 species of wild edible herbs.These help the pollinators, such as bumblebees and bees.
In cooperation with the Brussels non-profit organization Bûûmplanters, and with the support of the Infrastructure Department.
Zero-waste
At the same time, these Bûûmbanks were built in one week with VUB students. Thanks to this project, 2 tons of waste wood from Brussels construction sites were given a second life.
