May 3rd was not chosen randomly, Difference Day shares this important date with World Press Freedom Day. Since 1993 press freedom violations are brought to the public’s attention on this day. On May 3rd people from all over the world contemplate the enormous importance of press freedom and journalism as foundation of our democratic society.
