CSC-VUB Scholarship Programme

GOING TOGETHER FOR EXCELLENCE

The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) has a firm tradition of collaboration with Chinese research institutes and top universities in many disciplines. VUB and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) therefore jointly offer doctoral and postdoctoral scholarships to Chinese researchers to VUB. In 2005, VUB was the first university who signed the agreement with CSC among all Belgian universities. Based on the positive feedback from students and promoters, VUB and CSC renewed the cooperation agreement in 2013 for offering more opportunities to PhD, jointly-supervised PhD (including double PhD degree), Post-doctoral fellows, as well as visiting scholars.

Based on the agreement between VUB and CSC, these scholarships include monthly allowance for the allocated period & international flight offered by CSC, and tuition fee waiver & health insurance offered by VUB (Note: the insurance is only provided for full PhD or jointly-supoervised PhD students).

You may otherwise offend the supervisor and might be reported to CSC.
