Before you apply

Registration as a guest student is only possible if there is a cooperation agreement for this between VUB and your current educational institution. Please only apply as a guest student if your home institution allows it.

Attention: Were you a guest student during the previous academic year? Guest students cannot re-enrol via the SelfService, and need to submit a new application if they wish to take courses at VUB again.

After your application

The student administration and the organizing faculty will evaluate your application and may approve or deny it. You will be contacted in the case of an unfavourable decision. Please note that successful enrolment does not necessarily mean that all your courses are automatically approved. If a course is not part of the cooperation agreement, the faculty reserves the right to deny your request.

Status

You can always log back in to the application tool to check your application status in the 'overview'. As soon as you're fully enrolled as a guest student, you will receive a VUB account to access all online VUB platforms.

Course registration

If you are already enrolled as a guest student, but wish to add more courses after your initial enrolment, please contact your faculty so they can approve and register these additional courses. You can also request 2nd semester courses this way if you were already enrolled in the 1st semester, since your enrolment is valid for the entire academic year.
