Study path exceptions
Do you want to apply for an exception to your study path?
Teacher in training
Do you already teach in secondary, higher, adult or special education? Then you can potentially follow the educational master's as a Teacher-in-training (LIO). As LIO, you follow the classes with the other students, but do less or no work placement. You apply the (adapted) assignments to your own teaching practice.
You can apply for LIO facilities using the form below. We will take the following into account when processing your application:
- Whether or not you teach in the 2nd and/or 3rd grade of secondary education;
- Whether the subjects you teach match the teaching methodology subjects you have chosen;
- For how many hours per week you are appointed.
Spreading scenarios
Balancing work and studying can be difficult, to make this balance more manageable you can spread your courses over multiple years.

Telephone permanence
On certain afternoons, the study programme supervisor can be reached by phone. Check availability below. If she cannot answer, she will call back at a later time. Please respect the given availabilities.
Individual appointment
At the start of the academic year, there's high demand for the individual appointments. Therefore, we ask you that you initially make use of the walk-in moments and digital Q&A's (see above).
Individual appointments remain possible (subject to longer waiting times), but priority will be given to the following groups:
- Students in a difficult or exceptional situation (for example medical or psychosocial problems)
- Students with binding conditions
- Students in a bridging programme to the educatieve master
- Students in a integrated educatieve master
- Students that want to resume their programma after a break
Are you part of one of these groups? Then you can make an appointment via this link.
Meeting Point Study Guidance
If you have a general question about your study path or about the various guidance possibilities offered by Study Guidance, pop into the Meeting Point! You can drop by without an appointment. Check the opening hours.
