Elective courses and forms
Would you like to request an elective course that's not on the list or do you have to select your specialisation?
Programme changes
Programme changes may take place annually. Some of them are rather limited (e.g. a change of title of a course) and have no further impact on your study path. Others are more drastic (e.g. changes in the number of credits, merging of two courses, creation of a new course...) and can have an impact on the further course of your study programme or year programme.
If a programme change has an impact on your track, you will be informed of it by e-mail at the start of the new academic year.
Programme changes
Attention! Due to the programme changes, Bachelor Ingenieurswetenschappen-Architectuur and Master Architectural Engineering students, cannot register their courses themselves.
Spreading scenarios
First year students
First year students can apply for an exception to the standard path in certain situations. Find out who is eligible for a reduced course load and check the spreading scenario for your programme.

Individual appointment
Of course, not all questions can always be answered through a Q&A session. Appointments can be scheduled for the following target groups:
- You have low/insufficient learning credits and would like guidance in putting together your study programme (less than 60 credits).
- You are in a difficult/special situation (e.g. psychosocial or health problems).
- You have stopped your programme for several years and now wish to restart and/or have been granted permission to restart.
- You are transferring from another university to the VUB (transfer students).
- You are starting a first bachelor's degree and wish to deviate from the model programme.
If you belong to one of the above target groups or are in a difficult situation and would like to discuss this with us individually, please feel free to send us an email with the subject line “INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENT”. We will then schedule an appointment for you.
