MoMath, the National Musuem for Mathematics in New York, is pleased to announce the awardees of the 2022 and 2023 Distinguished Visiting Professorship for the Public Dissemination of Mathematics. Starting in the fall of 2023, VUB professor and alumna Ingrid Daubechies will be the sixth annual Distinguished Visiting Professor.

Dr. Tim Chartier, Joseph R. Morton Professor of Mathematics and Computer Science at Davidson College will serve as the fifth annual Distinguished Visiting Professor beginning in September 2022. Dr. Chartier will be followed in Fall 2023 by Dr. Ingrid Daubechies, Professor of Mathematics at Duke University.

Drs. Chartier and Daubechies will each lead programs that strive to bring the fun and beauty of math to people of all ages and backgrounds. MoMath is honored to welcome these two dynamic appointees to the Museum in a partnership dedicated to raising public awareness around mathematics.
