COVID-19 does not only influence our moods, but also our existential well-being and the way in which we experience our lives and give meaning to our existence. The Vrije Universiteit Brussel, in partnership with Ghent University, aims to map the effects of the coronavirus on existential well-being in Belgium.

The researchers want to know how citizens are experiencing this period emotionally, how they are dealing with it, how it is affecting their health, sleep and above all their existential experience of life, and whether this period also offers opportunities to emerge stronger or to grow. They hope that the results will enable it to offer new insights that will contribute at individual, social, scientific and policy level, for example to the development of programs to improve general well-being in this type of exceptional crisis situation in the future.

The researchers are now looking for candidates who are prepared to participate in the study at https://vub.fra1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_4JFL60Bx052Al2R.
